Scanning electron micrograph of enamel cut with Er, Cr: YSGG Hydrokinetic™ system (Waterlase®). The morphology of this surface is very similar to that of the acid etched surface. Notice the microroughness and absence of any smear layer. This structure provides strong micromechanical bonding of the resin composite material to the cut surface. (x2000) |
